The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has begun a four-day training for staff of the Abuja–Kaduna Train Service (AKTS) at Idu Station, Abuja, ahead of the resumption of operations on the route.

The exercise, which runs until Thursday, includes onboard drills and safety sessions to prepare workers for real-life operational scenarios.

NRC officials said the programme is part of efforts to refresh staff capacity and ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

The training comes as the corporation finalises plans to restart operations on the corridor.
