Elder Simon Achuba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Nigeria and around the world, urging them to embrace love, selflessness, and unity as they commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a statement personally signed, Achuba described Easter as a powerful reminder of hope triumphing over despair and light overcoming darkness. He said the season calls on believers to reflect deeply on its spiritual significance and to translate these lessons into acts of kindness and compassion in their communities.

The former deputy governor highlighted the enduring values of sacrifice and renewal inherent in Christ’s resurrection, encouraging Christians to emulate these virtues in their daily lives. He also urged Nigerians to view the Lenten period not merely as a prelude to Easter but as a guide for continuous self-discipline and reflection.

Addressing Christians in Kogi State, Achuba called for celebrations that bring the community together, stressing the importance of extending love and support to the less privileged. He further advised citizens to remain vigilant and avoid actions that could disturb peace and security during the festivities.

Elder Achuba encouraged Christians to carry the spirit of Easter beyond the holiday, keeping the light of Christ alive in their hearts while spreading hope, compassion, and unity throughout the year.
