A member of the House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Elder Leke Abejide, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to reflect on the lessons of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and renew their commitment to hope, sacrifice, and unity.

Abejide, who also serves as Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs and Excise and a prominent leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said the celebration of Easter remains a powerful reminder of the triumph of life over death and hope over despair.

In his Easter message, the lawmaker noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes renewal and victory after suffering, urging Nigerians to draw strength from the message of the season.

“Easter reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice and the boundless love demonstrated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It teaches us the values of humility, forgiveness, perseverance, and unwavering faith,” Abejide said.

He called on Christians to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria, stressing that the nation can overcome any challenge if citizens remain steadfast in faith and committed to the collective good.

The ADC leader also urged political leaders across the country to emulate the selflessness of Christ by placing the welfare of the people above personal interests and working together to build a more just and prosperous society.

Abejide further encouraged Nigerians to extend kindness and support to the less privileged during the Easter season, noting that the true message of the risen Christ is reflected in acts of love, compassion, and generosity.
He wished all Christian faithful a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration.
