The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will begin nationwide on Wednesday, August 5, with prospective corps members expected to report to orientation camps across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The scheme said the three-week exercise will be conducted simultaneously in all NYSC orientation camps and will end on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
In a statement issued on Monday by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme disclosed that call-up numbers had already been uploaded to the dashboards of all prospective corps members, while call-up letters would be released in due course.
The Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year on the successful completion of their studies in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria, describing their graduation as the qualification required for participation in the national service programme.
Nafiu also wished the prospective corps members a safe journey to their respective orientation camps and urged them to prioritise their safety while travelling.
He specifically advised them against travelling at night and called on them to strictly observe all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to the camps.
The NYSC urged all prospective corps members to monitor their dashboards for further updates, including the release of their call-up letters ahead of the commencement of the orientation exercise.
