Interior Ministry Builds Staff Skills to Boost Service Delivery

The Federal Ministry of Interior has taken a proactive step to strengthen its workforce by training staff on presenting innovative ideas aimed at improving public service delivery.

The programme, held on Monday, focused on equipping employees with practical skills to organise proposals, communicate ideas clearly, and confidently pitch solutions that could enhance the ministry’s operations.

Organised by the Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department, the training is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to foster creativity and solution-driven approaches across its departments.

Participants learned techniques for structuring proposals, delivering persuasive presentations, and engaging evaluation panels that review innovation-driven submissions in government institutions.

Facilitators emphasised the importance of clear communication and strategic thinking in ensuring that operational or policy ideas are effectively understood and considered for implementation.

Speaking at the session, the Director of the department, Gloria Vera Azuroh, said the initiative is designed to encourage staff to contribute practical solutions that can improve the ministry’s services to the public.

She added that empowering employees to present well-structured ideas will unlock internal creativity while supporting ongoing reforms within the ministry.

“The initiative is expected to strengthen staff skills and enable the ministry to deliver services more efficiently, aligning with the federal government’s ongoing reform agenda,” Azuroh said.

The training reflects the ministry’s commitment to fostering a professional culture that promotes innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement among its workforce.
