President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renewal of tenure for three Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, granting them a second and final four-year term in line with public service regulations.
The officials whose tenures were renewed are Ms. Kachallom Shangti Daju of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Justice, and Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe of the Ministry of Regional Development.
The renewed appointments will take effect from April 27, 2026, following approval granted in accordance with the Public Service Rules, which allow Permanent Secretaries to serve an initial four-year term and, subject to satisfactory performance, a second term of equal duration.
The Office of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation said the decision reflects compliance with the provisions guiding leadership tenure in the federal civil service.
Congratulating the officials on their renewed mandate, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, urged them to see the extension as an opportunity to strengthen their commitment to public service and contribute more effectively to national development.
She encouraged the Permanent Secretaries to apply their professional experience and institutional knowledge to enhance service delivery within their respective ministries.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on March 6 by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director, Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
