The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Dekina Local Government Area has launched a renewed call for residents and supporters to participate in the party’s ongoing electronic membership registration. The initiative, described by party officials as a crucial step in consolidating grassroots structures, is already attracting attention across the local government.

Hon. Abdullahi Omede, chairman of the PDP in Dekina, urged both new and existing members to take part in the e-registration exercise, emphasizing the party’s commitment to reclaiming political dominance.

“Let us take advantage of the e-registration to tell Nigerians that PDP is still the party to beat. We are ready to take power back to the people,” Omede said.

The chairman also addressed rumors suggesting the party had been weakened by recent internal disagreements. He reassured party members and supporters that these challenges were temporary and had not diminished the PDP’s influence, particularly at the grassroots level.

“People should not be deceived by the noise going around that the PDP is not on ground because of the little internal crisis we had. We are back and stronger,” Omede stated.

He further emphasized that Dekina remains a stronghold for the PDP, stating: “Dekina Local Government is PDP, and PDP is Dekina Local Government.”

Omede encouraged youths, women, and all stakeholders across Dekina to fully engage with the e-registration initiative, highlighting that it would strengthen the party’s membership database and prepare it for future electoral success.

The e-registration drive is part of a broader effort by the PDP to reaffirm its presence and mobilize supporters in key local government areas across Kogi State.
