The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vanguard (BAT Vanguard), a prominent support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has launched a nationwide social investment initiative designed to assist at least 50,000 vulnerable Nigerians, while officially endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

The programme was unveiled on Sunday, 14 December 2025, during the BAT Vanguard End of Year Party and Special Recognition Awards ceremony. The event brought together party leaders, government officials, coordinators from across the country, and other dignitaries.

Delivering his speech, Mr. Sola Olofin, Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Management Board and National Convener of BAT Vanguard, said the project complements the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He reaffirmed BAT Vanguard’s endorsement of President Tinubu for the 2027 elections, citing his achievements in economic reform, fiscal discipline, subsidy rationalisation, infrastructure development, monetary stabilisation, social investment reforms, and improved security coordination since assuming office in May 2023.

Olofin further revealed the group’s ambitious goal to mobilise at least 10 million votes for the President, emphasising plans to expand, re energise, and strengthen BAT Vanguard structures nationwide to achieve this target.

Highlighting the initiative, Dr. O’Diakpo Obire, National Officer of BAT Vanguard, in his keynote remark, praised the Conveyner, Sola Olofin and the group’s commitment to practical interventions that directly impact communities. He explained that the program aims to provide essential support to widows, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, orphans, and displaced individuals nationwide. The initiative will offer food items, educational materials, basic medications, sanitary pads, baby essentials, hygiene materials, and emergency cash grants.

Dr. Obire noted that the group’s engagement goes beyond political mobilisation, extending to partnerships with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to support governance, accountability, and citizen confidence in public service delivery.

The ceremony also featured goodwill messages from Mohammed Shehu, Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC); Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation; and BAT Vanguard coordinators from Kano, Akwa Ibom, and the North Central zone, among others, all praising the group’s organisational capacity and loyalty to the APC led administration.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of Special Recognition Awards to 20 distinguished individuals for their service and impact, including Mohammed Idris, Mohammed Shehu, Prof. Bello Abubakar, Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), and Jennifer Adighije, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).

The programme ended with a renewed call for unity, discipline, and sustained mobilisation, as BAT Vanguard reaffirmed its dedication to supporting President Tinubu’s leadership and consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
