Minister of Works, Senator Engr. Nweze David Umahi, CON, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his state visit to Anambra State on May 8, describing it as a bold demonstration of his inclusive and egalitarian leadership.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, the Minister praised the President’s remarks during the visit, noting they reflected a genuine commitment to the development of the South East and to national unity.

“Mr. President’s words — ‘Anambra has huge potential, and with Soludo, we can all work together to fast-track the vision’ — reflect a sincere commitment to inclusive development,” Umahi stated. “His reassurance that the federal government will maintain a strong partnership with the state to foster growth for Ndi Anambra and all Nigerians is highly commendable.”

The Minister thanked President Tinubu for prioritizing the South East in the development agenda of the Renewed Hope administration, highlighting key infrastructure projects in roads, rail, and power, as well as the Presidential Power Initiative and the federal digital economy drive.

“These initiatives are evidence of purposeful governance. The President is not only building infrastructure but also inspiring a generation of Nigerian nationalities through inclusive leadership,” Umahi added.

He further assured the President of the region’s gratitude, affirming that Anambra and the entire South East would continue to honour and support him, particularly in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.

“President Tinubu’s leadership continues to inspire unity, hope, and development across Nigeria. His state visit to Anambra will be remembered as a defining moment in strengthening national cohesion and regional integration,” he stated.

“God bless Mr. President,” he concluded.
