The Honourable Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq., has been honoured by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sokoto Branch, with the “Supportive Member Award” in recognition of his enduring contributions to the legal profession and national development.

The award was personally presented to the Minister by the National President of the NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, during the Association’s Annual Bar Dinner and Award Night, a prestigious gathering attended by legal luminaries, public officials, and dignitaries from across the country.

According to a press release issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Maryam M. Sanusi, FNIPR, the award recognises Goronyo’s unwavering commitment to good governance, the rule of law, and infrastructural development, as well as his long-standing support for the Caliphate Bar.

In his acceptance remarks, the Minister expressed profound gratitude to the NBA Sokoto Branch and its national leadership, describing the honour as a strong encouragement to continue serving the nation. He also praised the NBA for its consistent role in upholding justice and strengthening the legal profession in Nigeria.

“The NBA remains a vital pillar in our democracy, and I am honoured to be recognised by such a respected institution,” Goronyo said.

The event also featured the recognition of other distinguished individuals and organisations for their outstanding service to the legal community and broader society.

Goronyo reaffirmed the Federal Ministry of Works’ commitment to advancing infrastructure development across the country, aimed at spurring economic growth, improving regional connectivity, and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians.
