The Ministry of Interior has commended its agencies for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to improving service delivery across Nigeria.

Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day strategic engagement with heads of agencies and senior officials, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo described the Ministry as “a united family working toward a common goal protecting Nigerians and strengthening national institutions.”

The Minister highlighted the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for improvements in border management, ensuring the country’s borders are effectively monitored and secure. He also praised the Federal Fire Service (FFS) for enhancing emergency response, reducing response times, and ensuring timely support during crises.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was recognized for strengthening the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, while the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) received commendation for reforms in correctional facilities and rehabilitation programs aimed at transforming inmates into responsible citizens.

Tunji-Ojo reinforced the importance of teamwork and accountability across all agencies. “Our mantra in the Ministry of Interior is one for all, all for one. We must support one another and ensure that we deliver results for Nigerians,” he said.

In line with these commitments, the Minister signed the 2026 Performance Bonds with the heads of agencies, reaffirming the Ministry’s focus on accountability, measurable outcomes, and continued improvement in service delivery.

Highlighting the agencies’ achievements, Tunji-Ojo urged officials to remain focused, work collaboratively, and sustain progress to meet the expectations of Nigerians. “A new Nigeria is possible, achievable, and attainable. Together, through dedication and collaboration, we can make that vision a reality,” he stated.
