Eagle Square is fast taking shape ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, as party leaders stepped up preparations to ensure a seamless event.
On Sunday, the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, CON, joined key party officials in reviewing arrangements at the venue. Umahi, Vice Chairman of the National Convention Sub-Committee on Venue, worked alongside the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Dapo Abiodun, who chairs the committee.
The leaders inspected critical aspects of the convention, including security, branding, VIP protocols, uniforms, and other logistics. According to a press statement issued on Monday by Francis Nwaze, FIPMD, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, the inspection was aimed at ensuring that Eagle Square is fully prepared to host delegates and party leaders.
Following the deliberations, the committee carried out an on-the-spot assessment of Eagle Square, checking that all necessary arrangements from seating to security measures were in place.
Beyond venue preparations, Senator Umahi, who also chairs the Sub-Committee on Accommodation and Transportation, is overseeing efforts to guarantee smooth movement and sufficient lodging for convention delegates.
Meticulous inspections of seating, security, and logistics at Eagle Square show the APC is leaving no detail unchecked ahead of the National Convention, ensuring delegates and party leaders will be well accommodated.
As the sun set over Abuja, Eagle Square stood ready to host what promises to be a landmark gathering for the APC. With Umahi and Abiodun personally overseeing preparations, party officials say they are confident that the convention will run smoothly, setting the stage for a historic day of engagement, decision-making, and celebration of the party’s leadership and vision.
