Other members and friends of the club also received special commendations for their support and contributions. The evening further featured the presentation of the Winner’s Trophy to the victorious team from the club’s Annual Football Tournament, drawing cheers from members.

Speaking after receiving his award, the President expressed gratitude to the club, saying, “I appreciate the Club and hope this will motivate other members in service to the CGS Club.” His remarks reflected the event’s larger theme of service and continued commitment.

Wives of members also shared their satisfaction with the club’s values, with Vivian Okwy Ogbaji praising the unity among members and noting that the club not only plays football but also supports members in business, benefits she said extend to families as well.

The event featured a solemn moment as members observed a minute of silence in honour of their departed colleagues, reaffirming the club’s culture of remembrance and togetherness.

City Gate Sports Club continues to make positive impacts beyond sports, contributing to community development through empowerment initiatives and support structures that benefit both members and the wider community.
