As Muslims across Nigeria celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his Eid message, Issa-Onilu described the season as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of sacrifice, discipline, and devotion. He emphasised that the lessons of Ramadan should not be confined to the fasting period alone but carried forward in daily life through acts of kindness, patience, and respect for others.

The NOA DG urged Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that national harmony is vital to overcoming security challenges and fostering sustainable development. He also encouraged collective prayers for peace and stability, particularly at a time when the country faces ongoing security concerns.

Issa-Onilu commiserated with the families of victims of the recent bomb explosions in Borno State, praying for the eternal rest of the deceased and strength for their loved ones to bear the loss.

He further reaffirmed the importance of citizen support for government efforts to curb insecurity, urging vigilance and timely reporting of information to assist security agencies.

Issa-Onilu called on Muslims to celebrate Eid responsibly, showing moderation in festivities while extending generosity and acts of charity to the less privileged, in line with the noble teachings of Islam.
