By Victoria Attah, Abuja

The political landscape around President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition received a fresh boost on Monday as the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, publicly endorsed and signed the President’s nomination form, describing it as a strong signal of continuity and national progress.

Umahi, who made the endorsement in Abuja, said his action reflects confidence in the administration’s ongoing reforms, particularly in infrastructure development, which he described as central to Nigeria’s economic recovery and long-term growth.

He noted that several road and construction projects initiated under the current administration are already reshaping connectivity across the country, adding that sustaining the momentum would be crucial to consolidating the gains recorded so far.

The Minister further aligned himself with calls for continuity in leadership, arguing that stability at the national level remains essential for the completion of major development initiatives already underway.

In a symbolic remark, Umahi described the nomination document as more than a political form, but a statement of intent for continuity.
“It is not just a nomination form; it represents continuity, stability, and the consolidation of the progress we have made as a nation,” he said.

He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would not only complete ongoing projects but also deepen reforms across key sectors if given another mandate.

Umahi also urged broader political and public support for the administration, stressing that sustained leadership focus is necessary to achieve long-term national development objectives.

The endorsement comes amid increasing political realignments within the ruling establishment as preparations gradually build toward the next general election cycle.
