The Lagos State Police Command has announced the commencement of the Physical and Credential Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 recruitment of General Duty and Specialist Police Constables. The exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, 9th March to Saturday, 18th April 2026, at the Police College in Ikeja, starting daily at 7:00 am.
The command urged all successful online registrants, particularly indigenes of Lagos State, to strictly adhere to the guidelines to ensure a smooth screening process.
Candidates are required to appear in a clean white T-shirt and white shorts and bring a set of mandatory documents neatly arranged in two white flat files.
Required documents include the Invitation Slip with assigned table, Credential Screening Form, National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by NIMC, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA/State of origin certificate, and trade test or certificate for specialist candidates. Additionally, applicants must present a duly completed and signed guarantors form, with photocopies and passports of referees attached. Both original and duplicate copies of credentials are to be packaged separately, with recent passport photographs affixed.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, emphasised that candidates who fail to present any of the required documents will not be considered for the screening. He also reminded applicants to follow their scheduled dates and all instructions carefully.
Highlighting the integrity of the process, SP Adebisi stated that the exercise is completely free and will be conducted strictly on merit, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and transparency. Members of the public were encouraged to report any individual or group attempting to solicit gratification in connection with the
recruitment.
The screening exercise is expected to fill critical positions in the state police, ensuring qualified candidates move forward in the recruitment process.”
