North-West youths were instrumental in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s victory in the 2023 presidential election, contributing roughly 30 percent of the total votes nationwide, the Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has said.

According to the Senior Adviser (Media) to the Honourable Minister of State for Works, Goronyo made the remarks on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, during the Meet and Greet of the PCC North-West Youth Mobilization 2023 in Abuja. He commended members of the North-West Youth Mobilization Directorate for their resilience, dedication, and strategic grassroots engagement throughout the campaign.

Goronyo, who served as Director of National Youth Mobilization for the North-West Zone during the election, revealed that the region delivered 2,652,235 votes, making it the highest contributor to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nationwide victory.
“This was not an accident. It was the outcome of tireless mobilisation, strategic planning, and an unshakable belief in the Asiwaju/Shettima ticket as the right choice for Nigeria,” the Minister said.

He added that the 2023 election success marks only the beginning of a broader journey, urging youths to remain united, vigilant, and committed as the party builds momentum toward Renewed Hope 2027.

Goronyo also highlighted the Tinubu administration’s focus on infrastructure renewal and economic transformation, stressing that sustained youth engagement is critical to connecting government policies with grassroots realities.

He encouraged young people across the North-West to register with the APC and take ownership of the party’s future, describing youths as the “heartbeat of the party.”

The Minister expressed gratitude to APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, members of the Federal Executive Council, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, zonal youth directors, and other stakeholders for their support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Reaffirming his loyalty to both the APC and President Tinubu, Goronyo pledged continued commitment to delivering infrastructure projects that reflect the administration’s Promise Kept mantra.
