Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, urging renewed commitment to peace, unity, and national cohesion.

In a goodwill message signed personally by him, Achuba described the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as a period deeply rooted in sacrifice, obedience, and devotion, noting that its spiritual lessons remain vital for the country’s stability and progress.

He encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for lasting peace in Nigeria, especially as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections, stressing the need for harmony among citizens regardless of political or religious differences.

The former deputy governor also highlighted the importance of compassion and generosity during the celebration, calling on the faithful to share with the less privileged and strengthen bonds of tolerance across communities.

According to him, the values taught during the Eid season should reflect in everyday conduct, particularly in promoting peaceful coexistence and respect among neighbours in Kogi State and beyond.

Achuba further urged residents to remain security conscious during the festivities and avoid any actions that could disrupt public peace, reiterating that stability remains essential for development.

He prayed for joy, prosperity, and divine blessings upon Muslim families, while wishing them a peaceful Sallah celebration.
