The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Nweze Umahi, CON, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his passing as a monumental loss to Nigeria.
In a condolence message released by his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, the Minister eulogized the late former President as a disciplined statesman, a frugal leader, and a patriot who devoted his life to the service of his country.
“President Buhari was a man of profound integrity and unyielding dedication to the Nigerian nation,” Senator Umahi said. “He demonstrated an unwavering commitment to national development, both as a Military Head of State and as a democratically elected President.”
He extended his heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the family of the deceased, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians grieving the loss of a leader who left enduring legacies in governance and leadership.
Senator Umahi also offered prayers for comfort and fortitude for the bereaved family, saying, “May they find solace in the timeless truth that we belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
