The Hon. Minister of Works, Engr. Nweze David Umahi, has been officially presented with the 2026 Guinness World Record during a courtesy visit to his office in Mabushi, Abuja.

The award was handed over by the Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria, Mr. Girish Sharma, in recognition of outstanding achievements in the sector. The presentation highlighted the ongoing commitment of the Ministry of Works to excellence and innovation in infrastructure development.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, Engr. Umahi expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that it would inspire continued dedication to national development projects. He noted that such accolades reinforce Nigeria’s capacity to achieve global standards in public service and infrastructure management.

Mr. Sharma, on his part, commended the Ministry’s efforts, noting that the award reflects a commitment to professionalism and impactful governance. He encouraged continued collaboration between public institutions and private organizations to sustain high standards.

The 2026 Guinness World Record adds to Nigeria’s growing list of international acknowledgments in governance and infrastructure development, showcasing the country’s strides toward global competitiveness.
