The former Chairman, Lokoja local government, Alhaji Sirajudeen Yusuf Abdallah has expressed shock over the death of the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Mohammed Kabir Maikarfi 111 O.O.N.
In a message of condolence to the people of Lokoja, Kogi state at large , Sirajudeen who was the council chairman between 1991-1993 when the late monarch was selected and coronated expressed deep reservation 30 years after his installation as the paramount ruler of Nupe kingdom.
The former Chairman says the people of his domain will be consoled by the uninterrupted three decades of peaceful and progressive reign of Maigari of Lokoja who was a detrabalised and was a shield to all, not minding your extraction.
He prayed that Allah will grant him eternal rest and reward him with Aljanatul firdaus, asking the immediate family to bear the greet loss.
He described the late Maigari of Lokoja, as a bridge builder, that had preserved the culture and tradition of Nupe kingdom not only in Kogi , but spread to Niger , Kwara and other states.
He also lauded the contributions of the late monarch to the socio-economic development of the area, giving his track records in the public service before his ascension to the throne in 1990.
