… Condolence Notes Of HRH Alh Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu II, The Ejeh Ankpa and Chairman, Traditional Council
In the name of Allaah, the most beneficent, the most merciful. Death is indeed the most truthful pain that when it strikes, you cannot but accept the reality. That is why it is believed that: “from Allah we come and to him we shall all return.” For us in Ankpa, it is a sad moment that has left an indelible memory, unquantifiable pain, irreparable loss and irreplaceable lives. Alas, we cannot question the will of God.
Ankpa is one of the most dignified places in Igala Land and by extension, Kogi State. Its people are known for hardwork, outstanding in commerce, excellent in academics, supportive in fellowship, united in love and together in society building. Clearly, that’s why Ankpa and its people standout both at home and in the Diaspora.
It is keeping to their reputation of hardwork that many people find themselves at Alor on the faithful morning of Wednesday, 28th September, 2022. Most of the people at Alor river, along the road and even commuting were either in preparation for the day’s business or already in continuation of life struggles to make ends meet. Alas, their expectations were cut short.
Our heartfelt condolences to the family of these victims, the friends, traditional Council, Government and entire People of Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. The cause of the unfortunate accident must be redressed to ensure Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance on our roads with the view to avoid future reoccurrence.
On this note, we make an open appeal to elected officials, government appointees, public functionaries, charity organizations and well meaning individuals to come to the aide of the bereaved families at this trying time as we pray that God grants all the faithfully departed eternal rest.
