Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris Bags Arise Igala Life Time Achievements Award.

Arise Igala Leadership Awards and Lectures has confered on former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris “Arise Igala Life Time Achievements award.”

The event took place at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton hotel in Abuja on Saturday.

The honor according to the publisher says it was based on his achievements before and as Kogi Governor between 2003-2012 while in office, and his strides out of office since 2O12.

According to the organisers, the former Kogi Governor left an indelible marks on the sands of time when he held sway as Governor, spread across all sectors of the economy of the state including human capital development and empowerment of the youths .

Idris zeal that repositioned the state university, polytechnic and colleges of Education saw many of our indigent youths gainfully employed after their studies in the various institutions of higher learning .

“The civil service was completely overhauled and granted all necessary tools and encouragement that enhanced dedication to duty and productivity through mass housing, car refurbishing loans, salary enhancement and other emoluments that saw their performance optimally.”

They said the former Kogi Governor one decade out of office has continued in his private capacity to touch lives of many Nigerians in all ramifications, with special attention to less privileged in the society, as well construction of worship centres across the state which included building of mosques and churches.

“As employer of labor for many decades, he had diversified the organised private sector into a veritable avenue that reduced to the barest minimum the harsh economic conditions of the country, as a result of the global recession among many other variables.”

In his response during the presentation of the award at his residence, he thanked the organisers for recalling and rewarding hard work, dedication to duty, promising not to renege in that regard.
