Women Led CSO’s in Brono state has commended Borno State Commissioner for Women affairs and social developement , Honourable Zuwaira Gambo over her efforts to better the lots of women of the state in the last few years.
An ‘Award of Excellence’ presented to the Commissioner in her office in Maiduguri, Borno state,the forum encouraged all other political office holders to emulate the selfless services of the Women Commissioner.
According to the CSO’s the presentation to you is “In recognition of your ongoing commitement to excellence and changing the status of women in Borno state.”
Commissioner for Women affairs and social developement has been at the forefront of war ravaged women of the state, in reaching out both the local and international NGO’s and CSO’s that daily visit the state to affect the lives of women , children and the vulnerable in the society.
Responding, Commissioner for Women affairs and social developement appreciated the state Govenor,Professor Babagana Umara Zulum for giving her the opportunity to serve the state.
She dedicated the award to the Borno State Governor in his efforts to salvage the women of the state.
“We dedicate this award to the father of the vulnerable especially women, His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.”
