Katsina Empowers 10,000 Young Women with Free Entrepreneurial Training.

The Katsina State Government in partnership with the

Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos flagged off a free entrepreneurial training programme for 10,000 young women aged 18-35 across the State.

 

The scheme piloted under the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency ( KASEDA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Enterprise Development Centre Lagos recently as part of the state’s activities lined up to mark “The International Women’s Day” observed annually in the month of March.

 

According to Hajiya Aisha Aminu, the Director General, KASEDA, “the initiative of the Governor Dikko Umaru Radda led administration is aimed at promoting inclusion and fostering economic growth and development of women in the state.”

Hajiya Aisha highlighted the objectives of the initiative to

include mindset transformation, management capacity development and

stakeholder engagement.

She expressed confidence in the programme’s capacity to empowers the selected women to reach their full potential.

 

The young women participating in the programme will be drawn from across the 34 Local Government Areas of the State.

 

The training scheduled for the Month of April 2024 will first commence with a capacity development training for the Management and Staff of KASEDA while the young women’s training will start in May, 2024.
