Kogi 2023; Analyst Cautions INEC Over Bogus Advise From Politicians, Asks To Stick To February.

The independent National Electoral Commission INEC has been advised not to rescind it’s decision of holding governorship primary in Kogi , against the insinuation by some Politicians.

 

A media analyst, Abubakar Yusuf says those advancing the forthcoming general elections as an excuse, were already afraid of loosing elections at the state and federal level from kogi state.

 

“The political class should not dictate to the electoral umpire for selfish interest,

having read the hand writing on the wall ”

 

“They should rather concentrate on their election project rather than turning themselves to electoral umpire for the 2023 general elections.”

“INEC has the prerequisites of fixing election at the state and federal level, therefore assuming the advisory role to the body is uncalled for.”

 

He urged INEC to go ahead with the February date, stating that producing kogi governorship candidate for 2023 has nothing to do with the general elections in 2023.

 

He appealed to the main opposition party in Kogi not to bow to the gimmicks of other political party’s in the state, saying INEC should without further delay ensured the needful is done.
