Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda is the senator representing Federal Capital Territory FCT,the heart of the nation,thrice a row under PDP.
He is also the current Chief whip of the Senate in the 9th Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Aduda also represented his area as Member,House of Representatives at the return of democracy in 1999.
His style of politics has been so unique in the political history of Nigeria, without affront within his political party as the then ruling party, and now opposition party in Nigeria.
This positive developement has made him to win election twice in a tense and keen political contest when the current ruling APC is holding forth at the federal level.
Senator Aduda leadership style at the senate is not only within his party PDP, but became exemplary his interaction with other political party representatives both in APC and other platforms.
Down to earth with sane political initiatives,Aduda’s campaign since 2003 in the green chamber and his third term in the red chamber has been a mass movement not minding creed, religion,tribe or political affiliations.
As a ranking Senator ,these good riddance has endeared him into the minds of the people he represented in the last 12 years at the red chamber.
As former minority leader of the 8th Senate and now Chief whip in the 9th Senate,he has on several occasions visited the presidential villa,contrary to the opinion of other opposition representatives in Nigeria.
This show of maturity in leadership has been a signpost of the federal capital territory Senator for many years who does not believe in political confrontation and affront.
His recent overture towards resolving the lingering strike of FCT teachers who went on indefinite strike was a sign of a responsible leadership, despite the fact that he is a lawmaker and not part of the executive arm of government, or the ruling party.
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda’s residence was a mecca like, when he lost his dear father,as all the area councils chairmen and top party officials visited him on a condolence visit.
These good gestures has also been a guide to all his activities in the last one decade, especially his constituency projects spread across the seat of government.
He has carried out so many development in the area of social, economic and social services in the territory as the interior part of his constituency got adequate attention.
The provision of roads, electricity through conventional and renewable energy as well as transformers,building of blocks of classrooms,hospitals and clinics,supply of drugs and equipment,as well as empowerment, employment,skill development, acquisition and capacity building has being at the front burner.
This maturity stands him out among his political affiliates, colleagues and representation at the national assembly.
His good posture despite the desire of his people to continue to represent them at the red chamber,is also capable of exposing him to national leadership both within and outside the shores of Nigeria at any level of political endeavour.
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda is highly exemplary in all ramifications and worth emulating in the political firmament of Nigeria.
