His Majesty,Onu Ankpa,Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar has asked youths in the local government to explore the enterpreneurial,skill development and capacity building opportunities provided by National Productivity NPC to become self reliant.
The Royal father dropped this admonition during a two day program to acquaint youths from the 13 wards of Ankpa local government various skills to empower them into small scale production and businesses.
He said training the youths in this dispensation will ensure social equilibrium,social security and by extension guarantee useful engagements towards realising their potentials in life.
The Onu Ankpa maintained that world over skill acquisition, capacity building and enterpreneurship is the other of the day,capable of galvanizing various ventures in the society.
He stressed that the modest ideas of soap making, vaseline,cream,dettol,car wash, liquid soap, insecticide,body jelly,shampoo ans other cosmetology is capable of developing local contents in the area.
His Majesty urged the youths to take advantage of the program to the fullest while commending NPC for choosing Ankpa local government as one of beneficiary of it’s programs.
He appealed to the trainees to ensure the gradual transfer of the experiences and trainings garnered from the gesture of NPC in the area, and spread to other parts of Kogi state.
