Stakeholders Against COVID-19 has sent a message of felicitation to all Moslems brothers and sisters on the occassion of the celebration this year’s Eid-El-Fitr.
A statement jointly issued by the co-conveners of the body, Mrs Joy Billy Onu and Mallam Yusuf Abubakar, advised that all hands must be on deck not to be carried away by the Celebrations of the yuletide.
The body commended the Moslem brothers and sisters for adhering strictly to the health provisions against the pandemic, inspite the glaring facts that it affected their usual practices during the Ramadan fast period.
According to the conveners,our prayers is that by this time next year,the danger of the new dreaded COVID-19 must have being overcome, through concerted efforts and research at arriving medically to the solution .
However,the body warned strongly against negating the template of personal hygiene, and advised on the need to stay safe, stay isolated, observe social distancing, washing of hands with clean water regularly,avoid gesticulation of hand to the mouth, nose and eyes, as well as avoid crowded environment.
Others, are wearing of face mask,treat malaria symptoms as at when due, report without delay any resistance/allien ailement as symptoms persists.
The body appeal for more education and sensitisation on the effects of the ailement in both conventional, social and local medium of communication as being piloted on it’s program, praying that it will go a long way to prevent the backlash of the disease.
The conveners used the opportunity to praise the efforts of some members of the group, Engineer Dr. Sule Haruna (Brano), and Rt Honourable Sunday Karimi, member of the House of Representatives in the 7th and 8th Assembly, of their sponsorship of the Radio program to reach out to our people, while urging other well meaning members of the group from Kogi state to key into the sponsorship on both the Radio,TV and other medium of communication.
‘The ongoing Radio announcement on the state Radio,Ochaja is expected to spread to Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Headquarters, Lokoja,Grace FM, Prime FM, so as to spread more of the information, saying multiple sponsorship will stabilize the activities of the body’
