The Nigeria Customs Service Oyo/Osun Area Command has reaffirmed its commitment to stronger inter-agency collaboration following a series of courtesy visits to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Oyo State.
Acting Customs Area Controller, DC Wale Moses Adewole, who led the engagements, said the visits were aimed at deepening institutional relationships and improving operational synergy among security agencies in the state.
Adewole stressed that effective national security management requires sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and mutual support among government agencies tasked with maintaining law and order.
He noted that the Nigeria Customs Service remained committed to working closely with sister agencies to tackle smuggling, strengthen border security, and facilitate lawful trade activities. According to him, the engagements form part of the Command’s broader strategy to consolidate existing partnerships and establish stronger communication channels for coordinated responses to security challenges across Oyo and Osun states.
The leadership of both the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Correctional Service commended the initiative and pledged continued collaboration with the Customs Service in advancing shared national security objectives.
The Oyo/Osun Area Command maintained that effective inter-agency cooperation remains critical to enhancing security administration and protecting public and government interests.
