As Muslims across Nigeria celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, the Director General of the National Blood Service Agency (NBSA), Prof. Saleh Yuguda, has extended heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.
In his Eid message from Uban Garin Gombe, Prof. Yuguda reflected on the enduring values of the holy month, highlighting sacrifice, compassion, and service to humanity. He noted that these virtues closely align with the mission of NBSA, where voluntary blood donation represents a profound act of selflessness and care for others.
The Director General urged Nigerians to carry the spirit of giving beyond Ramadan by embracing voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation as a civic responsibility. He emphasized that a single unit of blood has the potential to save multiple lives, and that collective participation strengthens the national blood system.
Prof. Yuguda also called for unity, peaceful coexistence, and shared responsibility as essential pillars in building a healthier and stronger nation.
He prayed for the acceptance of worship, good health, and continued peace, stability, and prosperity across Nigeria.
Eid Mubarak.
