The President of Idah Club 6575, Chief Samuel Ogali has been reelected to serve for another term of two years. The election results were announced by the ELECOM Chairman, Engr Saeed Yusuf, after a free, fair and transparent election that was participated by majority of the members of the Club on the 27th December 2021 at the Idah Club Premises in Idah, Kogi State. Voting in the Election took place both physically at the Election venue and online for those who are either in the diaspora or unable to attend for one reason or the other.
According to Engr Saeed, Chief Samuel Ogali polled 68 votes to beat his opponent Dr Abutalib Major Abubakar Musa who polled 37 votes. Chief Ogali was therefore returned winner of the election.

Other offices that were keenly contested are as follows;

General Secretary.
1- Arc. Justice Akwu-71 votes
2.Sylvester Ojogbane -31 votes .
Arc. Justice Akwu declared winner.

Director of organisation
1. Paul Amade —45 votes
2. Ibrahim Benjamin-57 votes.
Ibrahim Benjamin declared winner

Director welfare
1. Eneojo Herbert Idakwo- 58 votes.
2. Christopher Ukwenya- 44 votes.
Eneojo Herbert Idakwo declared winner.

Meanwhile, the following positions were declared unopposed

1. Engr. USMAN as Vice President
2. Japheth Ebune- Assistant General Secretary
3. Mr Jibrin Samuel Enejo Director of publicity and strategy
4. Baba UMAR Ali Director finance and accounts
5. Alh. Bashir Yusuf Yunusa Internal Auditor
6. Alh. Bala Sule; Chief whip
7. Barr. Friday Omakoji Abu; Legal Adviser.

In his closing remarks, the ELECOM Chairman, Engr Saeed said, “election has come and gone and we all should be considered winners. We must now sit down and think of how to move the club for more wins. Good night, thank you for the opportunity and remain blessed”
It will be recalled that the Idah Club6575 organised a fundraising dinner on the 6th of December 2021 at Chida international Hotel Abuja to raise 500 million naira for the remodeling of the old Idah Club which has been taken over by IC6575, shortly after which the club went into campaigns for their election.

The incumbent president and winner of the election, Chief Samuel Ogali dedicated his victory to God, he thanked the ELECOM Chairman and members for a good and credible election and promised to make more sacrifices to consolidate on the present gains and move the club to the next level.
All the winners have since taken their oath of office and assumed duties.
